When you partner with Engineering Dots for your products, we’ll ensure that your new product introduction process is faster and efficient than your competitors. At Engineering Dots, we are using latest technologies, vertically integrated engineering systems and cross functional teams to ensure that the time to market is short, products are reliable and processes are repeatable. Once you are a partner with Engineering Dots, our services are at your disposal and we aim to make our customers successful. We aim to develop
an open collaboration environment where teams work in a cohesive way to smoothly translate ideas to successful products. We would like to be a complete partner, from concept to launch, to ensure a most efficient product development process is followed. However, if you need our services at a particular phase, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are specialised in complete product development cycle; our core strengths are highlighted below.
Product Strategy

This is the ideal stage to engage with Engineering Dots. With an intensive engineering expertise and business understanding, we work with our clients in defining product road map. This road map, or product strategy, is a management level document dedicated for the end-to-end vision of the product and the big picture context in terms of what the product will become.
Technological Feasibility

Technological feasibility for a new product is an important step before resources are committed and a product strategy is laid out. In simple commercial terms, it is a comparison between inputs, cost, and output, the value, generated. From management perspectives, a well researched feasibility study rationally points out strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to a proposed venture or introduction of a new product.
Design for Excellence

At Engineering Dots, we work on ‘first time right’ strategy. In engineering sense, this means that products are designed for manufacturing, assembly, maintenance with cost optimisation in mind for each stage. This all around strategy eliminates surprises and ensures a smooth and on time launch.
Concept Evaluation

Concept Evaluation is needed to find and fix issues at the design stage. At Engineering Dots, we intensively use Rapid Prototyping techniques such as 3D Printing (metal and non-metal), CNC machining, Rubber Rapid Prototyping, Polypropylene Rapid Prototype, PC / PMMA Transparent Prototype, ABS Rapid Prototype, Direct Metal Laser Sintering and Silicone Mould vacuum casting to name a few. To suit the test plan, we produce from one piece to small volume production at an affordable cost.

Design or Technology Transfer is a critical step where design and process blueprints are transferred into a reliable, repeatable manufacturing system. Our expert team ensures that design and process specifications are professionally written and production steps, with required check points, are comprehensively defined for a smooth transition.

The Production Preparations Process (3P) is a lean methodology of taking a big-picture look at how a product is designed for manufacturability. It provides a set of rules thus empowering teams in the creative process of generating ideas, and then skims the ideas down to one that is practically more feasible.

A good design is useless without qualifies processes. Engineering Dot’s experienced team takes care of the full preparation of production. We have intensive experience in the design and validation of production aids, such as jigs, fixtures, automation gantries, for a repeatable and accurate production output. Where required, intermediate checkpoints are introduced to evaluate assemblies / sub-assemblies / modules before moving to he next build stage.

Pilot production is an important phase in the new product development process and sets the stage for a successful product launch. A limited volume of pre-production batches are usually produced by using validated product parts, production processes and production tooling. Pilot production is the final check for all procedures and hardwares before passing the product for mass production.
